One call, and we bring them home.
Nyumba is a monthly membership. If a covered family member passes away in South Africa, we arrange and pay for everything needed to bring them home with dignity, to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho or Eswatini.
If someone passes away
Our target is 5 to 7 working days from the first call to arrival at home.
Someone lets us know
A family member calls, sends a WhatsApp message or reports online. Any of the next of kin on the policy can do this, at any time.
We confirm cover within 24 hours
We check the policy and the documents we need, such as the death certificate. We aim to confirm within 24 hours of being told.
Our funeral partner in South Africa takes care
A licensed funeral home collects your loved one, provides embalming and a coffin, and prepares the permits and paperwork needed to travel.
The journey home
We book the transport from South Africa to your home country: by road on the Basic plan, by air on Premium. If you're on Premium, one family member flies home too.
Received at home
Our partner in your home country receives your loved one and hands over to your family in your home town. The family can follow every step until then.

Choose a plan
Basic from R200 a month goes home by road. Premium from R300 flies, with a seat for one family member.
Add your family
Cover your spouse, children and parents from R80 each a month.
Pay each month
Pay by EFT or cash deposit with your own Nyumba reference.
